very dangerous to children under 5 years old
even more dangerous to infants

Hib germ
spreads through contact with infected person
germ enters body through the nose and throat

Once infected
unknown how long it takes to get sick

Symptoms
fever
severe headache
severe sore throat
severe breathing problems

Complications
brain damage
seizures
paralysis
hearing loss
death
